Custom quilting is CLOSED for the year. Edge-to-edge services, piecing backings, binding are all still on!
Longarm Quilting Services
edge to edge
$0.03 per square inch for example, if your finished quilt top is 60 inches by 70 inches, you will first multiply 60 in. x 70 in. for your total square inches. Then multiply your total square inches by $0.03 to get the estimated cost for your quilting services. It will look something like this:
60 in. x 70 in. = 4,200 sq. in.
4,200 sq. in. x $.03 = $126
*There is a minimum quilting fee of $50.00. Baby quilts, table runners etc., often are much smaller in square inches, but still take the same amount of time to be loaded and set up on the machine. If the amount calculated for your quilt size comes up less than $50, the minimum fee will be charged
* Quilts that are not square/rectangle will be measured length and width at their widest points (ie. Double Wedding Ring, Tree Skirts, geometric shapes etc…)
*A rush fee of $25 will be applied if you need your quilt within a week.
custom quilting
Custom Quilting is CLOSED. We will open books again sometime next year. Thank you.
Custom quilting starts at $0.07 per square inch and can go up from there depending on the size of the quilt, and the density/complexity of the custom design.
The minimum quilting fee for custom quilting is $100
Batting
We provide 4 batting options:
Winline 80/20 cotton poly blend, 120 inches long at $12 per yard (Usually reserved for quilts longer than 96”)
4 oz Winline 100% bamboo, 96 inches long at $15 per yard
6 oz Winline 100% bamboo, 96 inches long at $18 per yard (Higher loft)
Winline 100% cotton, 96 inches long at $10 per yard
Mail in your quilt top and back. If you are local, you are welcome to come drop it by in person. We can provide batting, or you can send in your own batting if you wish. The batting needs to be at least 3 inches larger than the quilt top on all sides.
quilt backing
If you would like us to piece your quilt back for you, there is a $15 charge per seam. If you send enough fabric we will always try to pattern match for you.
Your quilt backing should be at least 4 inches larger than your quilt top on all sides. For example, if you quilt top is 60 x 70 inches, your quilt back should be at least 68 x 78 inches.
Binding
If you would like us to bind your quilt, we have a couple of options for you to choose from:
Machine binding is $0.30 per inch. You can calculate this by adding each side of your quilt, then multiplying that by the price. Using our 60 x 70 inch quilt example:
60 in. + 60 in. + 70 in. + 70 in. = 260 in.
260 in. x $0.30 = $78
Hand Binding is $0.56 per inch.
We can cut and sew the binding to one side of the quilt so it’s ready for you to hand bind yourself for $0.18 per inch.
You do not have to send the fabric already cut, we will do that for you.
The delivery of your quilt
We are located in Herriman, Utah. If you are local and would prefer to drop off your quilt, you can choose to drop it off in person OR you can drop it off at either Sewtopia in Murray, UT or Harmony in Provo. We pick up/drop off quilts every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
Shipping is a convenient option, whether you are local or live out-of-state. We accept quilts from all over the country.
The invoice will be sent as soon as the quilt is finished via email. As soon as the invoice is paid, the quilt will be sent back.
quilt form
Please fill out the quilt form prior to shipping your quilt. It is the perfect way to tell us about your quilt, preferred design, thread and batting options. Shipping address will be sent to you upon submitting the form. We look forward to quilting for you!
*Baby quilts, table runners etc., often are much smaller in square inches, but still take the same amount of time to be loaded and set up on the machine. If the amount calculated for your quilt size comes up less than $50, the minimum fee will be charged. For example, a table runner measuring 20 in. x 40 in. would be $18 for the square inch cost, but would still need to be loaded and have the edge to edge design set up on the computer. So the minimum loading fee would be charged instead of the square inch amount.
